Frequently Asked Questions
We provide individual therapy for adults, teens, and children, as well as couples therapy and family counselling. Our compassionate therapists are experienced in a range of approaches and tailor each session to meet your unique needs.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to grow and better understand yourself or your relationships, counselling can provide the support and tools you need. We offer a free meet-and-greet session to help you decide if Clearview Counselling is the right fit for you.
Your first session is an opportunity to share your story, explore your goals, and begin building a trusting relationship with your therapist. We focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard and understood.
We presently work with adolescents ages 12-17 in a way that's age-appropriate, engaging and supportive. Should you require support for younger children, please feel free to reach out to our office. We would be happy to point you in the direction of other clinics in the area that offer support for younger children.
Couples therapy provides a neutral space to address challenges, improve communication, and deepen your connection. Whether you're navigating conflict, life transitions, or simply want to reconnect, we'll help you strengthen your bond as partners.
Booking a free meet-and-greet is simple—just contact us through our website or give us a call. During this session, we'll discuss your needs and explain how we can support you on your journey.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. We will not share information about you with anyone unless you have given us permission to do so except in very limited instances where we are required to do so. This would include if you were at imminent risk of taking your own life or hurting someone else, if a child were at risk, or if we were legally compelled to share your information. It is our priority to provide you with a safe and private space for you to share openly, so the limits of confidentiality is something we will discuss in detail when we begin to work together.
Every therapist at Clearview Counselling is trained in multiple evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches. This allows us to ensure therapy is tailored to your needs and preferences.
At Clearview Counselling, we are more than therapists—we are compassionate human beings dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and achieve meaningful growth. We take pride in providing a supportive, non-judgmental environment where healing and transformation can thrive.
It depends! While tele-health has made it possible for you to access counselling wherever you live, work, or visit, there are some rules that therapists have to follow about where they can work with clients. Psychologists are licensed to work in specific provinces and can offer support to anyone in that province. At Clearview Counselling, we have psychologists who can support you if you are in Alberta, Ontario, Nunavut, New Brunswick, and Quebec. Canadian Certified Counsellors are certified to work throughout Canada, so they can support you wherever you are in Canada. There are some situations where we may be able to support you wherever you are in the world. Please contact our office to explore your options if you live outside of Alberta.
