Becky Christie Arai

Registered Provisional Psychologist

I am a compassionate counsellor with over 10 years of experience in mental health and social services. My aim is to bring warmth, curiosity, and a trauma-informed approach to my work with children, adolescents, and adults in the counselling room.

My clinical approach is rooted in person-centred care, with a strong focus on building trust, creating safety, and honouring each client's story. I work collaboratively to explore meaning and support clients in reconnecting with their values, strengths, and sense of possibility. Above all, I believe in the healing power of safe relationships, authenticity, and a sense of hope.

I have supported individuals with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ASD, ADHD, learning and developmental disabilities, identity exploration, grief, and emotional regulation, in both school-based and community settings. I aim to meet clients where they are by integrating responsive, evidence-based, and ethical approaches, and I am committed to ongoing professional development and learning.

Outside of my work as a counsellor, I enjoy staying active through climbing and yoga, relaxing with a good book or show, and connecting with friends and family over good food.
