Nancy Tavares
Registered Provisional Psychologist | Clinical Traumatologist
Hi, I'm Nancy. I recently moved to Alberta after over 10 years of practice in Ontario. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and Clinical Traumatologist. I am especially drawn to working with clients who feel deeply, think deeply, and often carry more emotional weight than others realize. If you are feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or exhausted by your inner world, we can work together to understand what's happening beneath the surface and build tools that can help you make sense of your emotional experiences, develop stronger boundaries, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness, meaning, and self-trust.
I believe meaningful change occurs when you feel deeply understood, safe and supported. I offer a calm, validating space where you can slow down, feel seen, and explore your experiences in a space characterized by care, dignity, and respect.
In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, gardening, painting, and visiting the Canadian Rockies.

Trauma, grief and loss, suicide ideation, identity, compassion fatigue, PTSD and complex PTSD, highly sensitive people/empaths
